On the 23rd of December Patrick Byrne, Steven Carlile and Justin Fortener took part in the Blancpain Sprint Series at Sebring in the second week of the first season in 2018. Fortener started in 19th and quickly worked his way up to 5th place before getting held up at the pit exit resulting in a P6 finish, who said, “It was a fun race and we had a great car. The #8 car (Fabiano Lima) and I were racing

pretty hard with each other for nearly the entire race, but he was able to pull away from me at the end,” after the race. Meanwhile Byrne, starting in 27th, had a clean race, staying out of trouble and finishing in P15, whilst team principle Steve Carlile started in 18 position and quickly got into the top 10 at the end of lap 1, but had electrical issues during the pitstop, slowing it down considerably. Resulting in a 14th place finish.

Steve was back out the next day driving his Vivo Sport Ford Fiesta Rallycross car at Iowa. He qualified in 5th for the 1st heat, finishing 4th just beating Kevin Balthazar to the last transfer spot straight through to the Feature race, where he started in 7th but got a little bit of damage on the front left straight after the green flag dropped going into turn 1.  Finishing in 6th position, “We were hoping to be a little more competitive here this week, but just came up a little short on the setup. To be fair, the field was pretty evenly matched and we had some tight and clean racing through the heats and the main. We were all within eight tenths of each other speed wise, but I just couldn’t find the grip coming off of the dirt sections,” were Stevens words afterwards.
