Since reaching one billion laps in September 2014, and two billion in July 2018, iRacing are already fast approaching the three billion laps mark, within two years of their previous milestone.

It took iRacing 10 years to turn 2 billion laps, however with the recent spike in subscriptions, the lap counter has rapidly increased to 2,970,000,000 and counting.

With over 170,000 reported active members this milestone will easily be achievable. Only 30,000,000 laps are left, meaning once around 180 laps are completed by all 170,000 members 3 billion laps will be turned.

The iRacing 24h of Le Mans is a few weeks away, and with a higher than usual number of teams expected, this milestone seems easily achievable before the end of June.
