For years the biggest name on the road racing side of iRacing has stayed there.

In the middle of October word spread that NASCAR Peak Anti-Freeze drivers, Keegan Leahy and Bobby Zalenski were looking for a new challenge. Talks immediately started at VRS Coanda Simsport about having an oval racing operation with the two drivers.

Bobby Zalenski was a driver that the team had known for nearly a year since he started practicing with them during last years Road-To-Pro Series. Since then he’s kept a close link with one of the teams stars, Mitchel DeJong, who won the inaugural iRacing Rallycross World Championship with assistance from Booby in the final rounds.

Keegan was a driver that they had come to know from the Virtual Racing School platform, he seemed like a driver with lots of knowledge and, with three wins to his name this season, he is a driver that can fight up at the front.

In the official team statement Zalenski said “Being involved in their new NPAiS team is an exciting opportunity to say the least. Also joining such an elite team on the road side of racing is equally as exciting. The team has a great culture and I believe that’s one the most important keys for success in simracing.”

The duo have already set the goal of making it into the final four in the chase, and going to Homestead.

The next NASCAR Peak Anti-Freeze Series will start next year, watch out for Keagan and Bobby as Coanda complete their first official oval races.
