For the first time SCO organised the 10h of Suzuka. A stand-alone event based on the Super GT 1000km. For the iRacing variant of the event they chose to run multi-class. The GT1 and GT3 cars where used for the 10h event. For the GT3 teams it was a very nervous week because of the GT3 BoP changes.

In the GT1 class Vendaval Simracing took the pole in front of Obsidian Racing ASR and SimRC.de crimson. SRN Motorsport and Team Chimera rounded out the top 5. In GT3 Sekrit Racin-powered by Kreg Dok took pole position. Followed by SRT Esports green, Shinya Michimi Simracing, Sekrit Yasen and Core Simracing GT3 were all split by only 0.5 seconds.

Vendaval Simracing managed to break away early in the race. Obsidian didn’t have a great start and lost some places in the first lap while the Heusinkveld Core Youngsters had a great start and forced themselves into second in the first corner. Simrc.de were able to pass the Core Youngsters and chased down Vendaval Simracing. Obsidian Racing had some fast pitstops trough the whole race and managed to stay up with Team Chimera. While SimRC.de managed to close the gap to Vendaval. They even managed to get in front of Vendaval. But then it happened. With 4h and 30 minutes on the clock. Vendaval hit Sim.RC on the rear. What didn’t look like a big incident in the beginning escalated with a second hit, SimRC.de had to quit their race while Vendaval had a drive through penalty. The battle for the GT1 victory was now between Team Chimera and Obsidian. Chimera had the better pace, but in the end Obsidian had to take one more pitstop then Chimera. Chimera took the overall victory of the first 10h Suzuka. Obsidian and Vendaval took the 2nd and 3rd podium spot.

In GT3 Serkit dominated the race. First Sekrit Racin and after that Sekrit Yasen took over the lead. They managed to stay in the lead till the end. Sekrit Racin had some trouble later on in the race. Behind Sekrit Yasen there was a battle between 3 teams for the podium spots. SRT Esports Green, Core Simracing GT3 and Sorg Esport followed each other close for 10h hours. Putting the pressure on, little mistakes were made. In the end the battle for 2nd and 3rd was between SRT and Core Simracing. In the end the pressure was to high for SRT. Core Simracing took 2nd and SRT 3rd place. Sorg Esport and Team Buschfink rounded out the top 5 in GT3.

The first SCO 10h of Suzuka was a success. And the teams hope for some more stand-alone events as well the next season of the SCO series.
